Academic standards are set high at Middleburg Academy by our own high-achieving faculty. Each student is expected to reach his or her greatest potential in an educational culture that is rooted in small class sizes, rigorous instruction, and mutual respect.  The result is confident students who frequently enter college with credits already earned through our Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment classes.   

Our college preparatory program emphasizes the mastery of focused study habits, critical thinking, and communication skills. Our goal is to develop self-motivated students who are prepared for the independence and responsibilities of college life, graduates who are informed problem-solvers ready for a complex, competitive world. 

The faculty and administration pay close attention to students’ progress from the time they first transition to high school through the college search, application, and acceptance process. Our teachers welcome the opportunity to guide and assist students outside of class.  Parents, too, feel fully engaged and informed through weekly grade reports and secure access to a suite of online services detailing all aspects of their student’s schedule, progress, and assignments.
